Training For Advancement
Plinkfizz uses research to drive new e-learning strategy for Training For Advancement
Our project for Training For Advancement is a good example of how we can help firms explore a wider range of opportunities available before embarking on any new project.
The learning and development business, based in Newcastle-under-Lyme, approached Plinkfizz with an idea to create a professional off-the-shelf package of training materials for SMEs.
They had recognised an opportunity but were keen to ensure that their idea was aligned to customer needs, and so worked with Plinkfizz to create a launch strategy.
Plinkfizz conducted market research to gain a better understanding of the training market overall. As part of the research, Plinkfizz analysed a CIPD Annual Survey Report which found that UK training managers expected e-learning to increase to 50% of learning time in three years with 70% of respondents expecting their use of e-learning to increase.
Consequently, a website was developed where people could access training modules wherever and whenever they liked. This helped Training For Advancement to exploit new technology and stay ahead of the competition.
Tracey Thake, spokesperson for Training For Advancement, said: “We approached Plinkfizz to help implement our project, but as a result of their research, we changed our entire approach.
“Thanks to market intelligence we developed an online training tool that is much more reflective of our audience’s needs. We’d like to thank Plinkfizz for showing us the value of market research.”
